MISSION STATEMENT:
To demonstrate God’s love to the people of Nepal by meeting the tangible physical, emotional, spiritual and educational needs of the poor and disabled through benevolence and disaster outreach, evangelism, discipleship and local pastoral support.

 OVERVIEW:
1. Nepal Mission is passionate about the people of Nepal experiencing God’s love through our good works and coming into right relationship with the one true God.

2. Nepal Mission currently partners with and supports a number of pastors and church leaders through regular gifts to their ministries, and others with occasional gifts. We provide scholarships to attend Bible school, sponsor local seminars to equip and encourage leaders and provide funds to help churches rebuild after the earthquake. All of these church leaders share one thing in common—they are passionate about sharing God’s love with people in remote areas.

3.In the next few years, Nepal Mission will work to become a recognized NGO in Nepal, raise money to build a center of operations outside Kathmandu, and expand our program support. But our heart will never change—helping others to experience God’s love and come into right relationship with Him.

Problem being solved?
In the culture of Nepal, the disabled, the poor and people of other faiths are often mistreated, ignored and marginalized. The attitude toward disabled people is that they did something in a past life to deserve the disability in their current life. Consequently they receive little aid. Ruth’s family knew this reality from personal experience—two of Ruth’s younger sisters are mentally disabled.

How are you solving it?

  • Sharing the good news of God’s love for us.

  • Demonstrating the love of God through charitable acts and gifts.

  • Encouraging church leaders, pastors, evangelists and disciple-makers.

  • Showing compassion to those who are poor, disabled and injured.

  • Treating all people with dignity.

  • Conducting all operations with Integrity.

  • Collaborating with others who share similar vision and values.

Why are you qualified?
Nepal Mission was founded by Ruth Parajuli, a woman who grew up on a farm outside the small village of Lamosangu, 50 miles east of Kathmandu, Nepal. Ruth and her family heard the gospel 25 years ago, and they embraced Jesus Christ as the Son of the one true God. Having experienced the love of God in Jesus, their passion is for others to experience that love and know the God who gave Himself for us.

What is the urgency?
As followers of Jesus, we have been sent as He was “to proclaim good news to the poor…to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor(Luke 4:18–19).”

Supporting the work of Nepal Mission gives poor and disabled people the human dignity they deserve, and also provides them with a means of subsistence, giving hope for the future. Please consider donating towards this project and/or becoming a regular supporter of Nepal Mission.
