SHIELD616-Rider Nathan McCrary

SHIELD616-Rider Nathan McCrary

Hi my name is Nathan McCrary and I will be riding over 330 miles in September across the State of Colorado from the Wyoming border to the New Mexico border in order to raise money and awareness to the Shield616 cause.

Having been a high school football referee for the last 17 years I know what it's like to have a job where not everybody is friendly and appreciative towards you. While that doesn't quite compare to the sometimes unfriendly and very dangerous situations that police officers can find themselves in. It does give me perspective on how much I appreciate it when I do get gratitude and support from others.

That's why I'm so thankful to be a part of the Shield616 bike ride to show my gratitude and support for our police officers. Just like the sport of football needs referees to keep the game safe and fair, we need police officers to keep our community safe and a great place to live.

More importantly we need our police officers to have the necessary equipment available to help keep them safe so they can return home to their families each day. I hope you will consider supporting me in my goal to raise 1000 dollars in order to equip at least one officer with this advanced active shooter & crowd control gear!

Thank you!
