Ocean's Edge - CHIP Program Louis Bernard
Ever felt cornered, like your stuck in a place you don’t want to be? If you woke up a year from now to find yourself in a job or a relationship you could not stand, then you would find the route out isn’t obvious or easy; in fact, getting unstuck is complicated and there are usually lots of reasons for being stuck in the first place!

In my life, getting unstuck took good friends, wise-counsel, alternative jobs, and a healthy change in my belief-system.

Because of my personal experience, when I saw extreme poverty and the sex-industry, I recognized a need for a holistic approach to changing lives.

Over the next six months, I will work and learn how men and women at Ocean’s Edge are getting their community unstuck from poverty, drugs, and a sex-trade. Our eyes are set on building a business (or micro-business) to test a model that: 1. provides alternative sources of income for abused men and women, 2. forms meaningful relationships (discipleship), 3. serves the community’s needs and positions itself as community cornerstone, and 4. is positioned to grow sustainably.
