Father's Garden, The

The Father’s Garden

The Apostle Paul captured the heart of The Fathers Garden when he wrote, “We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all His energy, which so powerfully works in me” (Colossians 1:28 & 29).

Our goal is to communicate and share the Good News of Jesus Christ with young adults, to help 20 and 30 “something’s” to hear the still small voice that calls them by name, and to encourage them to act upon God’s beckoning as He directs their lives.

We will teach boldly with the wisdom God has provided and work tirelessly with the power that flows through our veins.

We will walk with millennials towards a deeper certainty of their salvation as well as helping them to understand their calling as Godly men and women. Our goal is to help shape communities by pouring into it one young heart at a time.

My wife Christi and I spent over 22 years in youth ministry, twenty working with Young Life. Our model follows that of Young Life’s very closely. We are relational and incarnational, embodying Christ for others. Oswald Chamber said that: “we cannot give to others what God has given us, however we can make them want what we have”.

We do this by bringing young men and women into our lives—opening our home to them, sharing meals with them, making them part of our family. We offer times for scripture study and community praise/worship. Christi and I also actively disciple individuals one on one. For us, ministry is coffee, lunch, hiking, studying, encouraging…living life together. We make it a priority to share the gift of God’s presences in all we do.

We are excited and privileged that the Living God has placed this vision in our hearts and are grateful for your partnership in it!
