Helping remove the scales from the eyes of athletes

Just like all of us, athletes have a particular lens they have when seeing the world. Unfortunately when it comes to sports many athletes have an unhealthy view of their lives and their worth as people. For many athletes their identity is wrapped up in whether they are able to perform to the level they want, coaches demands or the media reports. 

What athletes need are people to come alongside of them and communicate the truth of their identity as humans and the fact that their performance (or lack there of) does not eliminate them from the family of God.
