It is not a passive foundation with investments; rather, it invites funding to be continually proactive in meeting needs around the world. Therefore, our vision for New Horizons is Impacting every sphere of society in every nation by having hundreds of projects meeting the needs of thousands of people, raising millions of dollars to bring priceless value to the world.

Operating Projects of the New Horizons Foundation are not separate and isolated entities; rather they are an integral part of New Horizons and the direction we are headed. We receive charitable donations and grants on behalf of our projects, maintain the necessary legal and financial infrastructure for all project activities, and allow project managers to focus on creating a healthy, just and vibrant world.

START YOUR NONPROFIT
Operating Projects are those projects that have been proposed to carry out a specific charitable purpose that fits within the Foundation’s charitable objectives. The projects must be approved by the Foundation’s Executive Team for operation with an approved budget, proposed activities and have an appointed project manager. At the end of the year, project managers will also submit a brief report on how the finances were used and they will keep the foundation updated on the project’s activities quarterly through newsletters or a quarterly report.

Why do you want to set up a project? It helps if you start with something that you really care about and are willing to spend time to develop.

What are you raising money for and what is your funding goal? Be specific about what you are doing, how much money you need and how the money will be used.

How are you going to raise the money necessary for your project? The easy answer is by rallying your friends and family, but it is always a good idea to think broader and develop a fundraising plan beyond just a simple ask.
