The governing body for New Horizons Foundation is its Board of Directors. This group of individuals, with varied and complementary backgrounds, comes together to set policies, approve budgets, provide oversight, and determine the long-range direction and philosophy of the Foundation.
Leisle Chung is co-founder and Executive Director of Vanguard Skin Specialists. She has her BA from Yale and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She and her husband, Dr. Vinh Chung, have four children and they both have a heart for making a positive worldwide impact.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University an MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and has graduated from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Most of Gary’s work experience has been as a CPA in public accounting. Gary’s interests include his family and work, golfing and biking.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Louisiana State University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is the owner and chief executive of the Danos Corporation, a highly trusted and respected oilfield service provider. He and his wife, Rebecca, have three children. Eric enjoys football, woodworking, and being with his family.
Todd has a B.A. degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.A. in Higher Education from Ball State University. He is currently the Associate Vice President for Development at Texas State University. Todd has served in leadership roles at several non-profit organizations and agencies, helping coordinate advancement and development work, but his heart and passion have always been in higher education. He is married to Jerri Ann, and they have two adult sons.
Gail holds a B.S and M.B.A. from Indiana University; she is currently working as a consultant, a teacher and a non-profit leadership team facilitator. She enjoys family, leadership and team development, business and investing, travel, running, hiking, sewing, and science fiction/fantasy books.
Lauren holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics (Business Option) from Kansas State University and an M.B.A. from Regis College in Denver. He is the current International President and CEO of Trans World Radio, and he serves as the Board Chair for New Horizons Foundation. His interests include AM radio, flying and reading.
Mutua spent two years in France earning his master’s degree as a professor of French. In 1998, Mutua was appointed Africa Regional Director for The Navigators and served in that role for 13 years. In 2012, Mutua and his wife Stephanie moved to Colorado Springs, and his role as International President and General Director of The Navigators began in April 2015. Mutua travels the world extensively helping people better relate and live life better.
Barbara received her B.A. in English and Elementary Education from Whitworth College, and her M.A. in Education from Holy Names College. She has spent four years teaching Elementary School and has dedicated a large portion of her life to raising her three children. Barbara’s interests include: reading, music, travel, friends, and she is committed to be an LLL – Life Long Learner!
Jerry holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of WA, a Masters in Astronautics from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Doctorate in Astronautics from Purdue University. He is a former President of the Navigators and Retired from the Air Force Reserves in 1997 (Major General). Jerry is a licensed commercial pilot, avid handball player and author of 15 books.
