Extend a Hand

Our current project involves collecting and shipping books to two Malawian schools and purchasing bookshelves.  The goal is to establish lending libraries at a primary, Manthimba, and secondary, Mpenda, school SW of the city of Blantyre.  Please contact us if you live in Michigan and have primary and secondary fiction/non-fiction books to donate (Africa-appropriate, non-textbook types please).

Our Misson is to be a catalyst of change for individuals and communities around the world!  

The mission of the Extend a Hand Foundation is to use our family’s unique skills, talents, and gifts to enhance and improve the human condition domestically and internationally. It is our hope that we can be the catalysts to change communities, cultivate knowledge, make connections, bridge cultures, close gaps, and improve the health and well-being of others. We would like to begin by first listening carefully to those that we serve so that we can truly understand their needs. Grounded in this understanding, we can then provide opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable, using our time and talent to help individuals and communities reach their full potential. Through the rich experiences of helping others, we also hope to grow in strength as a family and affect future generations of our family through learned core values, togetherness, and love for one another. Our family is blessed to have the resources to serve and it is our hope that we will have a positive and sustainable impact on those that we touch around the world.
