CareerExplore.org

CareerExplore.org’s mission is to inspire young people from low-income communities to pursue fulfilling careers, become active in their communities, find relevancy in their educational experience, and plan for achievement. CareerExplore.org is an internet-based mentoring platform that matches students with successful professionals from careers that students choose. Students participate through classroom projects in school systems that offer the program. Mentors are volunteers in CareerExplore.org’s network of professionals interested in sharing stories and advice with students interested in their career field. While many mentees may ultimately decide to pursue different a path, CareerExplore.org helps make the educational experience relevant, provides mentees exposure to opportunities outside of their own community, and helps them work toward pursuing goals they might have otherwise not thought possible.
