Our mission is to identify and partner with Christ-centered servant-leaders in Haiti who are loving, teaching, training, and empowering the next generation for the rebuilding of a nation. Here you see Erica Cathey from True Vine Baptist Church in Oakland, CA (center back) and myself (the tallest and whitest!) with some of our Haitian students who are teaching in the Christian schools we support. This group attended our third annual training. Next year in January, we plan to do a one-day woman's conference featuring medical doctor and pastor's wife, Donna Carey, MD, also from True Vine, with the theme: "Be Bold" (because of who you are in Christ!) and then offer the teacher training along with a medical clinic, led by Dr. Legette Jules(Haitian national) taken to the country villages and pastor/leader training as well, facilitated by Pastors Doug Stevens and Zac Kerry. All of this ministry is spearheaded by our amazing Haitian brother, Pastor Gilbert Jules! If you've read our newsletters, you know that during the past 5 years, more than 400 men and women have completed the three year Biblical studies program in which Doug has participated, in both Port au Prince and Les Cayes. Other ongoing projects include a goat ministry, led by Haitian, Alix Dieudonne, which has provided goats to about 50 Haitian families and Bercy Garden, a community agricultural project to provide a self-sustaining source of food. We have also provided a foot-operated sewing machine to a pastor's wife in Jeremie, the community that was devastated by Hurricane Matthew in the fall of 2016, so she has an opportunity to start a small business to bless her community. We would love to do more! Please contribute any amount that you can. And Thank you for your prayers! Pastor Gilbert always reminds us that "God always provides . . . in His time!"
