Child Development India

Under the leadership of a local pastor, a team of believers reached out in love to help a “squatter settlement” of Irular people, a semi-nomadic tribe known for capturing rats and snakes for a living. These people live in 6’x8’ grass huts with dirt floors, and many have no walls. This tribe is considered to be one of the lowest groups in the social caste system. They have been treated like “animals” to the other social castes.

CDI learning centers consistently provide:

  1. A dry, safe place to study that has light and plenty of room.
  2. One cook that serves up a nutritious meal each day.
  3. Two teachers (tutors) that lead the daily program and help the students with their studies.
  4. Taught and practice hygiene skills like using toilet, hand washing, self-care.
  5. Taught about how Jesus is the one who sets us free from the bondage of sin and gives us a life of peace.

The Need

We are asking the Lord to provide $800 per month.

GIVE - Consider partnering with one of these giving options:

$800 to cover one month

$100 a month to cover 1/8 of the total need

$24 a month to cover one child

SHARE - Consider inviting others to participate:

In addition to giving, consider sharing with other how they can be a part of this amazing opportunity to change the future of an entire village. We need help!

PRAY - Consider praying regularly:

In addition to giving, consider praying regularly for the CDI team on the ground and the Irular people.

Thank you so much for caring!
