About the Project Manager
The epitome of all South Beach has to offer – international glamour, style, beachfront hospitality, celebrity nightlife, dynamic art ,culture scenes – is embodied in the face of its most famed hot spots – Martin Krediet, Previous DOS & Mrktng at The Raleigh in Miami Beach & co-owner of Bar 721 of Lincoln Road ( '09-'10). Krediet is currently the GM for Francis Ford Coppola’s Turtle Inn in Belize.
Born in Holland in 1972, but raised in Curacao. Studied at Hotel Management and Culinary School Amsterdam from 1990 to 1993. Following , Krediet completed military service in the Marines , Holland and Curacao, where he continued to live for five years before moving to Miami. During that time, he worked in the restaurant industry and managed several establishments, including Mambo Beach.
After traveling for several months to Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and New York to run the marathon, a hobby at the time, Krediet arrived in Miami Beach in 1998. He quickly adapted to the local lifestyle and achieved a position at the Loews Miami Beach hotel and then as Hotel Manager at the Hotel Astor.
In 2003, Krediet made the move to The Raleigh, a legendary and world-renowned oceanfront art deco hotel, where he has worked for the past seven years as Hotel Manager. After The Raleigh’s switch to new ownership in 2009, Krediet was given his latest position and title of Director of Sales and Marketing. At The Raleigh Krediet has brought in high-profile events including the Chanel Cruise Collection Fashion Show by Karl Lagerfeld, Art Basel events by Netjets, UBS Bank, multiple Conde Nast Publications and courted celebrity guests like Madonna, Demi Moore, Calvin Klein, Olivia Newton John and Mikey Rourke.
Served on several boards and has been a chair member for a number of charities including The Vizcayans, the Humane Society of Greater Miami, Miami Beach Chamber Pillar Board, Blue Ribbon Task Force, Miami Beach Chamber Gala, Brothers & Sisters, Peace for the Children, New World Symphony and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. He recently joined the National Geographic Society as a judge for the World Legacy awards.
Enjoys running, boating, scuba diving and water sports. He lives in Placencia, Belize where he purchased 1 acre on the beach and is fully enjoying his seafront residence walking distance from Coppola’s Turtle Inn resort.
