Startups 4 Hope
1/10th of the world's population lives where we work. We envision entire people groups and all districts of Bihar hearing the gospel in a way they can easily understand.
That is our Big Holy Audacious Goal. If God is really so big then He can do it.
That is why our mission statement is:
Pioneering gospel access for unreached peoples through BAM
Through Startups 4 Hope you support people like Khushi, a child in a remote region of north India who has no access to education or the gospel. All that changed when Startups 4 Hope partnered with local pastors to start a tutoring business that gives low cost education to kids like Khushi in remote regions. Or take Archano for example, he was a young Hindu man with an MBA but unemployed due to a bad job market in north India. Until Startups 4 Hope started a social media marketing firm in his city that gave him first hand experience in a role he loved and first hand experience of a God named Jesus who loves him. There are so many stories to tell, but on to how we carry out our mission.
Startups 4 Hope starts small businesses among Hindu communities as a way to gain access into difficult and remote areas - providing jobs, the good news about Jesus, and sometimes even education to physically and spiritually needy communities. We want to be incarnational, on-the-ground witnesses creating gospel access for unreached peoples.
BAM or Business As Mission is a way to bring spiritual change to areas like India where evangelizing is illegal. We are able to create natural bonds of hope through startups. Startups bring legitimacy to the church planting work and believers are seen as being for the community, not against it. While many startups don't make it long term, the ones that do change lives forever and sometimes even the ones that fail make a positive impact also.
