What is Kaleo?

Kaleo is a Greek word that means “to call.” In scripture, kaleo signifies pivotal moments when individuals were called into something greater, like when Moses was called to lead, Samuel to prophesy, and Paul to reach the Gentiles and kings. At the heart of everything we do is this belief: we are all called to serve, grow, and build God’s people and organizations.

We’re launching a trade school and have opened our first Kaleo House, which combines workforce housing with leadership training. Real change is happening—and everyone has a part to play.

To build a future where every person, leader, and organization contributes to a flourishing community through intentional connection, courageous leadership, and meaningful action.

Our Current Focus: Where Vision Meets Action

To build a thriving Eagle County by 2050, we are starting with three strategic priorities that address core needs across every demographic and socioeconomic group:

~ Economic Development – Strengthening the workforce and supporting attainable living.

~ Leadership Training – Raising up grounded, purpose-driven leaders for every sphere of society (business, faith, nonprofit, education, and government).

~ Impact Investing and Excellence in Giving – Creating pathways for generous, values-aligned investment into our community.

These focus areas form the foundation for lasting transformation—practical, inclusive, and built for impact.

What’s Happening Now: Our First Projects are Live!

The Kaleo Collective is already on the ground, building solutions that meet urgent needs in Eagle County:

~ Kaleo Trade School – We are launching a county-based trade school to equip the next generation of essential workers—electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, and more. This is a practical response to both workforce shortages and the need for dignified, sustainable careers.

~ Kaleo Houses – Our first Kaleo House is up and running as a model of what’s to come: workforce housing combined with intensive leadership training. These homes provide young adults with a stable place to live, grow, and lead. With a vision for seven houses across the valley, we’re addressing housing, leadership, and community at the same time.

These projects represent the heart of our mission: tangible, strategic action that lifts every part of our community.
