Education Support: Rachel's Touch
Rachel Worscheck was passionate about her chosen career in nursing. Rachel completed two Bachelor of Science degrees: one in Biology, and the second in Nursing. She also earned an advanced certification as a Neuroscience Registered Nurse. For more than a decade, Rachel devoted herself to caring for hundreds of patients, specializing in traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Her compassion, intelligence, and tireless work ethic touched countless lives.
In loving memory of Rachel, this fund is set up to extend Rachel’s touch to the people of Nepal, by providing financial assistance to help Nepalese students attend nursing school. The fund will provide assistance for tuition, room and board, books, and travel expenses. The average cost for a student to attend Bethel College of Nursing in Ranchi, India is $2,500-$3,500 per year. Degree programs are either three or four-year programs depending on the certification. The fund is managed in partnership with New Horizons Foundation and Nepal Mission, which serves poor and underprivileged people in remote and underdeveloped regions.
